What is MWMC?

The Midwest Math Circle (MWMC) is a student-run, volunteer-based non-profit organization. Our co-founders are high school juniors and seniors from renowned high schools in Chicago area. Since starting in 2016, the Midwest Math Circle serves to enrich students from 5th grade to 12th grade in their mathematical knowledge by propagating the culture of problem-solving, and to increase the number of students who simply love using mathematics in their studies, work and daily activities.

Why MWMC?

As students, we have been through and know the ins-and-outs of the mathematics curriculum and are familiar with national level math contests. We know the problems and how to approach them, as well as what concepts the students find the most difficult and challenging. Together with our collective experience, we can provide students with a variety of problem-solving techniques that can't be offered by a single instructor.
