Please bring a notebook, pencils, eraser, a positive attitude, and readiness to learn :)

Will my child learn with students of his age/grade level?

MWMC is split into 4 groups based on skill level: Pascal, Ramanujan, Riemann, and Gauss.
We place the students based on a diagnostic test, and make sure that they move up or down as we see them progress.

Do I need to prepare for MWMC meetings?

No preparation is required, other than assignments that teachers give. Our participants vary greatly in their age, experience and ability.
We prepare the sessions for each of the groups based on their ability. We usually have a problem set where difficulty of the problems varies from easy to hard,
with the idea that all the participants can work productively. You should not expect to understand everything and be able to solve all the problems.
You can always talk to your group instructor if you have more specific questions.

Does MWMC prepare students for math competitions?

MWMC strives to teach students problem solving and critical thinking as well as crucial math concepts.
These are all skills needed to do well on contests like Mathcounts, AMC, and the AIME.

Can I become an MWMC instructor?

If you're in 10th grade or above, please apply to be a MWMC volunteed using the Teacher Application form. We are looking for teachers willing to lead classes weekly, as well as curriculum managers that are passionate about math. Leadership opportunites are available within the group as well!

Who can come?

Due to space limit, classrooms are only for admitted students.
Parents may attend when space available, but must refrain from participating in discussion or problem solving.
MWMC is for the students, by the students.
